There's no doubt about it, Texas' very own Igzotic is easily the VA SHIFT team's favorite up and coming artist, by a long shot. Like most underground hip-hop consumers, our first sighting of the artist was sitting in his car with his girl, rapping his ass off to his most viral single, "Money Chaser."

From there, staying tapped in was an absolute no brainer. That day the team and I sat down and picked apart his discography song by song, learning about the evolution of a young man who gave us the impression of, "this guy knows what he is doing."
We started unpacking Igzotic with his fourth album, "Life" released on November 7th, 2025. Song after song our infatuation grew, and after getting to song #5, "Blew It," our assumptions were confirmed: Igzotic is one of them ones.
Our favorites from "Life" are "Druken Love," "Get Out," and "Blew It." It's so fun to listen to Igzotic for the sole reason that you can tell he is having fun with it. He's not trying to be someone else, he's not inflating who is he is what he has in life, he's just...being himself. It's raw, authentic, and extremely refreshing.
As we dug further, we uncovered another gem which hits home to anyone who built themselves from the ground up. Igzotic dropped "Win" on July 5th, 2024, displaying that again, making music and leading with purpose is not new to him. The hook is just so catchy, "Young n****s came from nothing, I told mama I'm 'gon win." Anyone who hasn't followed a traditional path can relate to this, you just feel it in your soul.
In the last week Igzotic performed "Money Chaser" on New York's On The Radar, solidifying himself as someone to watch. Additionally this past week he released a live performance on YouTube called "THE WARM UP." Let us save you some time, skip to 7:40 on this video and listen. It's just so clear, Igzotic is not stopping, is not a one hit wonder, and will be an artist who creates infectious, fun, and music from the heart. You can tell he feels what he is speaking to his core, this isn't a game for him or a fun hobby, he's dialed in.
Currently Igzotic is sitting a little over 55,000 monthly listeners on Spotify, and 71,000 followers on Instagram. We have a good feeling these numbers will increase drastically as 2026 progresses. Two days ago, he released a post that said he is his first show in Austin, Texas which is is calling The "First Impression." A great title to a show that we have a feeling will start a long journey of live performances.
If you haven't heard of Igzotic, we strongly suggest you add him to your rotation and keep an eye on his trajectory over the next year. We certainly will be here.
