Baltimore’s own DoDat is back with a new project. After dropping his breakout single “Money Run” last year, he returns with his latest EP “Money Land.” The six-track release stays true to the sound and energy that has helped him carve out his lane in the city.
Some people might try to label DoDat’s music as “meme music,” but that misses the bigger picture. Over the past few years, he’s been one of the artists consistently pushing Baltimore’s culture forward. From his comedic skits and viral content to his music, DoDat has brought eyes to the city at a time when Baltimore wasn’t getting much national shine.
After being featured on Druski’s Coulda Been Records, DoDat took the momentum and kept it moving. A common theme in his music is simple: getting to the money. Coming from a childhood marked by poverty, that hunger shows up in the way he approaches both his music and his grind.
“Money Land” is a quick, fun listen that really captures DoDat’s brand as a whole—motion music. No excuses, just work. If you know DoDat’s story, it’s hard not to respect the journey and be inspired seeing him shine.
We’re looking forward to seeing DoDat keep dropping music while continuing to grow as a creator and influencer. Do yourself a favor and give the EP a spin—you won’t be disappointed.
He may not have the typical “mainstream” sound, but he’s got the kind of energy that can go viral at any moment.
Shoutout DoDat. Shoutout Baltimore.
